My name is Molik Liverman-Jones and I am currently honing my skills to become a greater asset in the digital marketing world.
I am enrolled at BMCC (Borough of Manhattan Community College) majoring in Communications. I will be graduating in the summer of 2016. In the past, I have volunteered my time to the Future Leaders Institute & Groundswell (Community Mural Project).
I am currently involved in COOP's digital marketing apprenticeship . I joined into COOP because of the community based environment that is dedicated towards improving it's participants marketing and career skills. I was also intrigued by the opportunity to have a platform where I could effectively network in order to find a way into the digital marketing world; through peers and people already working within digital marketing.
I plan on using my Digital Marketing experience to gain a role specifically tailored toward sports marketing. With hard work and gained experience in 5 years I would like to become a creative director for either ESPN, Bleacher Report, or other high ranking network.

2 Companies I really admire and Why
I admire Facebook for the substantial growth that it has shown since the websites launch; and the profit it has generated as a result. Facebook is special because of how fast it was able to grow into a company worth nearly 245b dollars in such a short amount of time. A lot of the company's growth is credited to it's consistent innovation and paying attention to what their users really enjoy about the site.
I like this company because they have figured out new and exciting ways to bring sporting events & sport shows to their audience in a compelling way that other competitors cannot. ESPN is special because they have constantly found new ways for viewers to tune into their network in different ways and as a result it has help their brand grow. Examples of this are Apps like WatchESPN and the official ESPN app.
Let me tell you about ...
In the summer of 2009, I volunteered at Groundswell Mural Community Project. I was responsible for helping with the design and painting of the final mural that was set up at the Future Leaders Institute.
Our deadline of two months was the biggest challenge my group faced. The drawing up process, agreeing on the best drawing and preparing the space to be painted all was very time consuming.
As a team we decided the best course of action was to split in to smaller sub-teams in order to cover more work at a faster & more effective pace.
At the end of the summer my team was able to finish the mural and it still stands along with the completely refurbished playground at the Futures Leaders Institute in Harlem, NY.
I was able to gain valuable team skills as well as build on drawing up an effective campaign plan in oder to finish a project in a timely fashion. It also felt great giving back to a community that I grew up in as a child. The skills that I gained from this experience have continued to help me become more organized and aware on how to compartmentalize task, in order to finish specific goals.
