Short Intro: I'm Cabril DeAbreu, I love sports, music and movies. I spend a ton of time volunteering to give back to the community. In addition, I am team focused and innovation minded.
Where Have I Been? I graduated in 2012, from the City College of New York with a degree in advertising and public relations. During that time I joined a wealth of clubs (taking executive roles in 3), began a few of my long term volunteer activities, learned the value of teamwork and to think in an innovative manner.
Where Am I Now? I am a digital ninja (digital producer) at HQ Creative, where I focus on all aspects of digital marketing. While my favorite part is strategic research and creating digital strategy decks, I also have experience in: SEM, SEO, Paid Social, email & content marketing, and UX design. COOP presents an opportunity for me to grow myself in all aspects digital. I have been able to find my target career segment and specialty, to grow a network of like minded individuals and to gain experience that I can pay forward.
Where Am I Going? In the near future I will be strengthening my skills in: Analytics, SEM, Media Planning, and Paid Social in order to foster my long term goal as a director of strategy.

2 Companies I really admire and Why
After graduation, I left school with a goal of being "anywhere in communications" in the near future. I didn't realize how broad that was until I began researching digital marketing companies. The one that stood out to me the most was Huge. Everything from the client list, to the locations of offices showed they are leaders in innovation and have willingness to be different, while still highly successful!
I'm a huge (no pun intended) sports fan, and the Spurs always stand out to me for their ability to be consistently superb, and innovate in a industry that is designed to create parody! They have a thorough decision making process, which leads them to find solutions to problems that are otherwise universal across the NBA brand.
Let me tell you about ...
Setting the stage. Three years ago, my fraternity was tasked with improving their social media profile.
The beginning. Initially, we had a limited social identity with unclear content and details. I spearheaded a committee with the intent of integrating our outlets and improving our outreach.
The middle. I created a strategy, which was implemented across all the brands. We made sure that all of our posts lead back to our website, and that all of our links were relevant to the social media content.
The End. As a result, we were able to create and improve our outreach by 85% on social media, traceable by follows, and our site receives over 5,000 unique visitors a month, through organic reach.
Reflection. I learned that in a leadership position, I am able to create and implement strategies, and put people in the best position to succeed.
