Hi, my name is Wendy Garcia. I am a dedicated and skilled administrative professional with a versatile skill set that was developed through professional experiences.
Where Have I Been? I graduated from Lehman College where I majored in Mass Communications and minored in Multilingual Journalism. Some of my past work experience has been working as a Production Intern at Bronxnet where I helped put public access shows on the air. I also worked on a hip hop website called Yoyouheard.com where I was a blogger, program director, editor, and radio personality.
Where Am I Now? I currently work full time as an Associate Administrative Assistant at Enterprise Community Partners, where I communicate with different levels of management to deliver a valuable customer experience. I am also a Digital Marketing Apprentice in a program called CO*OP, which trains CUNY grads in the most current SEM, SEO, and digital skills.
Where Am I Going? In the future I am interested in gaining skills in the digital marketing and web design field to eventually create and run my own Urban Lifestyle Website.
- I can work effectively in a team.
- I can think creatively to find solutions to challenging problems.
- I can remain cool, calm and collected during high pressure circumstances.

2 Companies I really admire and Why
I admire Squarespace because I love the fact that they give ordinary people a platform where they can share their passion with the world. I have done research on the company and found that they are one of the best companies to work for and treat their employees well.
Sephora is one of the leading cosmetics stores in the world. They are innovators in the customer service field providing guests with services, incentives, and information never before seen in the cosmetic industry.
Let me tell you about ...
The company that I currently work for has a yearly day of service volunteer day. Two years ago, there were lots of transitions going on in the company so there was no one available to manage the project.
I stepped up and called our partners to solicit volunteer projects to do. I organized the staff of 65+ people to volunteer on different site on different days. I created an online signup to organize everyone and had food catered to the different sites and provided Day of Service t shirts to staff.
The outcome was a seamless day of service where everyone enjoyed their day. I learned how to lead a team, be a project manager, and organize a large group of people.
