Short Intro. Hi, I'm Doris Huey I am self-motivated, enthusiastic, and an effective team player. I can achieve results through motivation, creativity, and tenacity. I also enjoy adventurous activities, and have an obsession with mermaids.
Where have I been?
In 2015, I graduated from CUNY College of Staten Island with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management.
I always had a passion for animals, during my free time as an undergraduate I volunteered at a no-kill animal shelter called Animal Haven. Their mission were to prospect potential new homes for dogs, and cats that were poorly mistreated or abandoned. Through speaking to the public to promote the animals, such as a segment on many media outlets (Good Morning America, Wall Street Journal, etc.), partnerships with retail stores (Anthropologie, Honda Manhattan) and other fundraising events, we were able to gather contributions that would go towards programs that would enhance the bond between animals and people. As well as provide behavior intervention when needed to improve the chances of adoption.
Amongst Animal Haven, I have also volunteered at another non-profit organization called, Wellness in the Schools. This organization focuses on healthy eating, environmental awareness, and fitness as a way of life for kids. You got to teach them while their young! What better way to exercise my marketing skills if its not for healthy purposes!
During my time there I was not only supporting a great organization, but I was able to feed my own creativity by assisting and creating fun healthy methods to educate kids from K-5 at school about healthy foods, and ways to eat/stay healthy.
Where Am I Now?
By day, I do sales and design at a branch of Williams-Sonoma, Inc. called Pottery Barn Kids, to keep my creative juices and drive flowing.
By night, I am a Digital Marketing Apprentice at CO*OP. As an apprentice I want to be able to gain knowledge about digital marketing and be able to compare it traditional marketing. In addition to strengthening my technological performance to keep up to date to the ever changing digital world. Always up for learning new things!
Where Am I Going?
In the near future, I would like to be at a position where I could utilize all the skill sets I have gained, to become an asset to a company to assist at attaining their goals. And to always have continual improvement in all areas.
As well as to be able to relate/impact/lead those who are in need to get to where they want to be, and guide them to reach their greatest potential, from all the mistakes and lessons I've learned from all walks of life.

Unilever is a consumer goods company where I believe their core values matches what I look for in a company, "Always working with integrity" and "Positive impact and continuous improvement" on top of the direction of the company and brands they acquire. Brands that carry products that are sustainable for consumers around the world to have a feel/look good, confident, healthier, better future.
Houzz is a digital platform for home remodeling and design. I admire this company because of its services. Allowing home owners and home professionals to creatively come together in a unique more convenient visual community. Providing best ways to get inspired, discover products and to find and collaborate with the perfect architect, designer, or contractor. All in a matter of a click.
