Hey! My name is Balraj Deosaran and I am a digital marketing expert, gym enthusiast, video gamer, and professional food taster.
In 2013, I received my Bachelor's degree in Marketing and minor in Economics from Brooklyn College. While at Brooklyn College I took part in many organizations and clubs to gain as much experience to be a great leader. One of the most influential organizations was Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Inc. Being a member in this organization has given me confidence in every role I have taken up including, Treasurer, Public Relations, Membership educator, and President. During my college years I have also interned at several startup companies to gain as much hands on digital marketing experience. Not only have I been involved on campus and in internships, I have worked part-time at American Eagle.
Where Am I Now? I currently work at Apple Inc. as a Product Zone Specialist. At Apple I help customers and businesses find the right products to better serve their needs and operations. I am also a self-employed marketing consultant who helps small businesses and entrepreneurs improve their social media content. I joined the COOP community to help me learn more about the digital world and implement that knowledge in my future business. I see COOP as an opportunity to also network with great like-minded individuals.
Where Am I Going? I am hoping to have a successful business related to marketing. I definitely want that business to give back to the community in education, especially in low-income neighborhoods. I also look forward to be a Self-Development Guru to help students and young adults find their true potential. Outside of the career life, I hope to travel to many places in the world.

2 Companies I really admire and Why
I really admire Apple Inc. because of their level of innovation. They have a sleek design and fashion to their products and brand that is unmatched. Their website and presentations have that hook that pulls the person in to their world.
Nike has had very impressionable advertisements. They have also partnered with great companies like Apple to come up with amazing products. Their brand is a motivational message and it sets a standard for the rest of the industry.
Let me tell you about ...
Two years ago, I became a Product Zone Specialist at Apple Inc.
While I was starting out at Apple, I noticed that the company was looking to push working with more businesses.
I took the initiative to work with the business team to learn as much as possible to introduce business venture for business customers. I also spread the knowledge with the rest of the sales team to help increase business sign ups.
After a few weeks, everyone felt comfortable talking about business ventures with customers and the store sold products to over 1,000 businesses. This set the bar in the market region for all Apple Stores.
Taking initiative brings results and spreading the knowledge helps the company as a whole rather than keeping it to yourself and trying to strive solo.
