Short Intro. My name is Beverly Ortega. One day I will have my own talk show.
Where Have I Been? I graduated Brooklyn College with a Bachelors degree in Television and Radio with a minor in Journalism in Spring 2016. I've had two internships, both with NBC. The first one was at The Maury Show and the second was with Telemundo.
Where Am I Now? Currently I am working at European Wax Center as a Guest Service Associate. I've had two internships with NBC. The first one was with The Maury Show and the second one was with Telemundo. I work for a marketing company called Bello Consulting and we work various events for NBC4 and Telemundo. I joined COOP because I want to be a part of a community that is like a family and can help me better myself but where I can also help others. I want to gain knowledge not only in digital marketing but also knowledge about myself and confidence.
Where Am I Going? My goal is to have my own talk show but I know that in order to get there I have to start from the bottom and I’m okay with that. I want to learn the in's and out's and everything else there is to know about having a tv show before I get to have my own and I know that marketing is a great start for me. I see myself living in California with a family of my own and hopefully my own talk show.

2 Companies I really admire and Why
I love Adidas because they always have celebrity collaborations and I feel like that is a great marketing strategy.
Although Nike is Adidas competition I feel like this is a company that will always be successful. They have been in the business for 52 years and have grown into an empire of its own.
Let me tell you about ...
NBC and Telemundo inquired the help of Bello Consulting, the marketing company I work for, to help get their social media recognized by their fans. La Voz Kids, the Latino version of The Voice for younger kids, was having an event at The Mall at Bay Plaza in the Bronx where the community could have a chance to come and sit on the judge’s chair and have their pictures taken. These pictures were then created into a flipbook which they could take home for free. I helped create the hashtag because they wanted a way to measure how many people were at the event and how the community was interacting with the network’s social media. My goal was to increase their number of followers on their Instagram page and the number of likes on their facebook page. The job of my team was to go around the event interacting with the community encouraging them to follow Telemundo’s Instagram page, like their Facebook page, and upload their own pictures on both Instagram and Facebook using the hashtags we created. Before the event I recorded the number of followers they had on Instagram and how many likes their Facebook page had. After the event, I went back and looked, and they went from 10 followers to over 400 on Instagram, and from 400 likes to over 800 likes on Facebook. I also searched the hashtag on both Instagram and Facebook and found over 300 pictures from the event. NBC and Telemundo were very happy with the social strategy that I came up with so they hired my team for the 2015 car show and the Jacob Javits Center, and many other events after.
