Hello! My name is Annabelle Lutz. I'm a twenty-something want-to-be digital marketing aficionado. Some of my other interests include reading, cooking and watching films.

Where Have I Been?

I attended Brooklyn College and received my BFA in Creative Writing, with a minor in Health and Nutrition Studies. Professionally, I've worked as a research assistant, managing and editing files in Excel with marketing materials. I've learned Adobe InDesign and Illustrator and acquired certification in Photoshop. Most of my experience is in customer service, from when I worked at a high-traffic business in New York City for two years. That experience taught me skills in leadership and teamwork.

Where Am I Now?

I'm currently in training as a Digital Marketing Apprentice at COOP, learning Google AdWords, Google Analytics, SEO, Facebook Ads, and Excel. I joined this program in order to widen my expertise and expand on my degree in Creative Writing into an arena that's rapidly growing. Digital marketer interests me as a career path because it allows me to be creative in thinking for ways a client can be efficient in reaching their intended audience. Another added benefit of joining the COOP program is that I'm networking and connecting with people of similar interests in digital marketing. 

Where Am I Going? 

In the near future I hope to be working in a position in digital marketing. I want to learn as much as I can about programs and skills needed for marketing online, and to see the projects I help manage flourish. In ten years I would like to be in an executive position working at a marketing firm with a track record of many successful projects.

2 Companies I really admire and Why

        

I admire Seventh Generation as a company because their brand is not primarily focused on profit. Though it is important, I admire that their main priority is to help people with their household essentials while lessening humanity's impact on the globe. It's obvious that most people don't think about their individual impact on the environment. It's easy for people to go about their lives not thinking about their footprint, but with billions of people on the planet, the shortcuts companies take to make sure they are reducing cost and making profit is not acceptable anymore. Seventh Generation has taken most of the effort out of being environmentally conscious, which is great for everyone involved, namely the environment, but the consumer as well.

       Twitch is an online live streaming platform where broadcasters can release and perform their content in real-time with viewer interaction live. I first found out of Twitch several years ago when I wanted to find a hobby that doesn't involve being the viewer but a content creator. Now as a live broadcaster, I consider Twitch as my second hobby, influencing many individuals around the world with my creative content and entertainment.

I admire Facebook because they’ve established one of the most recognized platforms in the world. They've created a space for friendly interaction that reaches every corner of the world. Not only does their site offer easier way to connect with people we wouldn't normally keep in touch with, making our networks wide and rich, it is also giving back to the people that help make it so great. It’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg, is an outspoken philanthropist and is passionate about leaving a mark in steps to making this world a better place to live for future generations.

Let me tell you about ...

I worked at a popular bakery in the city for a couple of years out of college as counter staff. 

There would often be several people that called out of work per day, and so we were usually short staffed. Interacting with hundreds of customers was not something that the staff did very enthusiastically or willingly, so with the low amount of staff there were usually not enough people manning the counter.

I noticed this pattern of behavior and stepped up. I helped customers to get people what they wanted in as timely and friendly a way as possible. 

I was noticed and commended by my superiors, upon which they bestowed the title of 'employee of the week' onto me several times during my employment there. 

Through the experience, I learned that if you approach things with a good attitude, oftentimes the result will be for your own benefit.
